The California Transparency in Supply Chain Act requires retailers and manufacturers doing business in the state of California, with gross worldwide receipts over 100 million US dollars (USD), to be transparent about their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in their direct supply chain for tangible goods offered for sale.
Faribault Foods conducts business in a responsible manner, with integrity, honesty and in full compliance with all applicable laws. We fully support the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Guiding Principles on Human Rights and Labor. Violators of company standards are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
We are committed to foster responsible practices throughout our supply chain. Prior to partnering with any new suppliers we conduct a supplier risk assessment and require all suppliers to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct which outlines our Labor and Human Rights standards. We do not use third parties to evaluate potential human trafficking and slavery risk.
To ensure that our suppliers respect and enforce our standards, Faribault Foods purchase order terms and conditions include a clause that prohibits use of forced and child labor and requires our suppliers to comply with international standards, applicable laws and regulations.
Faribault Foods does not audit Suppliers specifically for human trafficking and slavery. If Faribault Foods receives reports of violations, immediate corrective actions are requested and we reserve the right to cancel the contract if appropriate steps are not taken.
Faribault Foods provides Supplier risk assessment training along with a general overview on prohibitions against human trafficking, slavery and child labor as part of basic training for new Sourcing employees with direct responsibility for supplier management.
